Lucid dreaming – beautiful, thought-provoking surreal art.

Dark navy and vibrant, cobalt blue make a gorgeous background for a rounded glass full of water decorated with a contrasting vivid slice of lemon. Standing next to the glass is a Little Blue Penguin, a delightful resident of both New Zealand and Australia. I saw Little Blue Penguins on Soames Island in the middle of Wellington Harbour, returning at dusk after a day fishing out at sea. These tiny penguins marched stoically up steep banks to reach their hidden burrows as night fell. They are so delicately petite and appealing, that they are like living soft toys.
