#28 Elephants – Hwange Family by Barbara Podmore wildlife artistry

oil painting of a herd of elephants drinking at a waterhole by wildlife artist Barbara Podmore

Elephants are endlessly interesting to watch. They interact with each other constantly, and the young ones play often. Very young elephants seem to have extremely rubbery trunks that are not yet fully under their control, which is very appealing. I have tried to capture the evening light as they take their last drink of the day.
