Broken, but I fly

Oil on canvas  60cm x 75cm

Broken, But I Fly

In living,

I have been stabbed by words,

Sliced by rejection

Pierced by griefs,

Shattered by shame

And I, seeing my reflection,

Recoil.

And I am broken,

Floundering helplessly in the mud.

But You,

Like healing oil,

Liquid gold,

Heal my wounds into beautiful scars.

And I gather myself into my arms,

Loving.

I am broken,

But I fly.
